Major Works

  • Designed and showcased jewelry for New York Fashion Week in 2008.
  • Featured artist in Artizmo, Art Gallery, San Francisco, USA.
  • Helped set up Sargalaya Craft Village as craft consultant of Kerala Tourism Department in Calicut district in 2012.
  • Designed corporate offices of DC Books in 1999 and the DC Kizhakemuri Museum in 2015.
  • In 2008, Designed and executed the cover design of a famous book, Pravasam of M. Mukundan with a team of traditional artisans, where 10,000 handmade copies were produced using hay as a medium.  This was an attempt to revive the dying Hay Art.
  • Provided Consulting to Kudumbasree, Asia’s largest women’s cooperative.
  • Founded Pure Living, a company specializing in upcycling and recycling to produce green products like pens and pencils made out of paper.
  • Devised a pen rolling equipment to make paper pens (patent pending) and set up a pen rolling unit for women in villages of Varanasi as a joint venture with Reliance and International Institute of Waste Management (IIWM).
  • In 2015, Conceptualized and facilitated ‘Varadakshina Cultural fashion show’ – a tribute to the life & works of Artist Namboodiri with reputed fashion designers.  An exclusive collection featuring Namboodiri’s art was also designed with my partner under the brand ‘Anaaya’.
  • Co-founded Good Karma Foundation – a charitable trust to promote culture, skill development, healthcare and educational related activities.

Social Ventures

  • Conceptualized Chekutty dolls and spearheaded the campaign along with Gopinath Parayil – For the revival of handloom village Chendamangalam post Kerala floods 2018. The project is spread across 9 countries among 50000 volunteers.
  • Friendship Campaign – an insurance scheme to express gratitude to the fisherfolks who saved 65000 lives during Kerala Floods 2018.
  • Heartbeat of Handloom – A unique project to revive Kerala handloom through a novel concept where sound waves are converted into design motifs.
  • Ammommathiri / Wicksdom, is a project designed to provide livelihood for the underprivileged elderly.
  • Initiated  Orange Alert’ a safety mechanism to warn motorists of bad road conditions.
  • Introduced plantable pens made of paper  by introducing a seed at its tip called  ‘With love’.
  • Introduced water bulbs as non conventional light source in slums of Bhopal.
  • Initiated Campaign ‘Pendrive’ to quantify and spread awareness of  the plastic waste generated through plastic pens alone, thus prompting Kerala Govt. to  introduce a Green protocol in schools and events in Kerala. The pens collected is used in constructing an art Installation in association with Kochi Biennale, which is first of its kind in the world.

  • Felicitated by Amitabh Bacchan, Diya Mirza and Sonu Nigam on Star Plus, produced by BBC World on the show ‘Aaj Ki Raath Hey Zindagi’ was aired as Diwali Special in 2015.
  • Selected as one among ‘10 most Inspiring Indian Women Entrepreneurs in the World’ by Big Success Stories.
  • Featured as Tanishq model in the campaign wee they featured 4 real women from India in 2022.
  • Made it to the Top 8 Entrepreneurs of 2016 by the Star of Startups.
  • Featured in Marie Claire, popular U.S. Fashion Magazine in their GENIUS column, where ‘One woman one brilliant idea’ selected globally is published.
  • AJ+ (Al Jazeera), the leading international news channel from Newyork made the story and activities of PureLiving globally viral.
  • Pure living was one among the 3 storiesfrom India, filmed by International Brand Nestle on ‘Women change makers’.
  • Conceived and Introduced an ‘Ethnic Protocol’ for official functions of Govt. of Kerala. It was implemented for the launch of Technocity by Rashtrapathi in Oct 2017.
  • Covid pandemic related project Coveed (miniature paper houses) has been shortlisted for display by National museum Scotland and selected as souvenir for Dakshinachitra craft village in Chennai.
  • Shayya bedrolls, the recent initiative made of tailoring scrap of PPE,  has attracted world attention with Word Economic Forum Davos Agenda, and also for Display at National Museum Scotland. The innovation prompted industrialist  Mr. Anand Mahindra of Mahindra & Mahindra to announce his interest to invest in the Shayya project.
  • Quilt India Samman, one of the verticals of Quilt  India Movement 2020  started last December to uplift the artisan community whose livelihood severely hit during the pandemic, is converting unsold fabric of weavers, to mommy kits for the newborns in war hit zones.
  • Toiless, a tech assisted initiative accessible through a web app helps locate guaranteed clean toilets for travelers, especially for women.
  • Choolala artisanal brooms crafted by visually impaired women is a game changer in empowering them.
